About Role:

As a Global Payroll Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for the Kitopi group of companies on a global scale. Your responsibilities will encompass payroll processing, balance sheet reconciliation, headcount reporting, and compliance with company policies. Your efforts will contribute to efficient payroll operations and the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Here are the main tasks they will be responsible:

  • Payroll Processing:
  • Process payroll for the Kitopi group of companies according to country-specific payroll instructions provided by HR.
  • Achieve a 4 working day turnaround time for payroll processing, starting from the date of receipt.
  • Ensure the distribution of employee salaries by the 25th of each month.
  • Complete payroll month-end closing by the last working day of every month.
  • Headcount Reporting:
  • Prepare and submit monthly balance sheet schedules for all payroll control accounts by the 5th working day of the following month.
  • Perform reconciliations with a commitment to 100% accuracy and alignment with supporting schedules, such as leaves, End of Service, and air tickets.
  • Submit the group headcount report by the 30th of each month.
  • Provide standalone country payroll reports by the 5th working day of each month.
  • Collaboration and Process Improvement:
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and IT to successfully complete the monthly payroll cycle.
  • Ensure timely submission of payroll balance sheet reconciliations and target the clearance or reclassification of outstanding entries on a weekly basis, rather than at month-end.
  • Accurately classify employees into the correct reporting entities.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with payroll and staff benefits in accordance with company policies across all markets.
  • Drive efficiency in the payroll process by identifying and eliminating manual tasks.

Requirements:

Here are the qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in payroll or accounting (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional, CPA) is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in payroll processing and accounting, with a focus on GCC-related payroll.
  • Strong understanding of international payroll regulations and compliance (GCC specific i.e. UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain).
  • Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with HR, IT, and other relevant departments.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
